Crag Lea Guest House

Crag Lea is a lovely Edwardian House set in 1 acre of garden, perched high up on Clay Head in Baldrine. The house has been sympathetically modernized and extended and includes all the comforts of a contemporary home. The garden has terraces from where you can sit and enjoy the stunning view of Laxey Bay. On a warm sunny morning you may take your breakfast from there.

Within minutes you can walk to the top of Clay Head from where you can see the spectacular coast line and the Maugold Lighthouse. You can stroll in the Ballanette Nature Reserve and on a clear day see the Cumbrian Mountains, Dumfries and Galloway. If you want to explore further you can walk on to Lonan Old Church with its Celtic Crosses, passing by the Lakes as you go.

Baldrine Village is situated on the East Coast, a ten minute drive north from the Sea terminal and the centre of Douglas and a 30 minute drive from Ronaldsway Airport. Laxey, boasting the world largest water wheel is only 2 miles away and from there you can take a tram up to the summit of Snaefell. A short 10 minute walk from the house you will find both bus and tram stops.

There is a homely sitting room, with a log burner, available for guest’s sole use it has Sky TV and DVD player.

A full English breakfast with all the trimmings is available for guests up until 9.30 am, lighter alternatives are also available. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with a little notice. Early start packed breakfasts at no additional cost can be supplied, as well as packed lunches, which will be chargeable.

We can collect guests from the Airport and Sea Terminal and deliver back, if required, at a nominal charge.

We regret that we do not cater for young children.

We are a non smoking household (you may smoke in the garden) and cannot accept pets as we have cats who wouldn’t like it.

Accommodation Crag Lea has 2 rooms for guests, generously proportioned, a high standard of comfort and all the facilities you would expect of a Five Star establishment. Each has a flat screen TV with DVD and free view, WiFi ,radio alarm clock, hair dryer and beverage making facilities
Room 1	has a super King size double bed (which can be split into a twin) and a private luxury bathroom with a walk in wet room shower and bath.
Room 2	is a twin bedded room with an ensuite shower room. It enjoys the best view in the house.
Tariff	Minimum stay 2 nights. The price per room is £80.00 Single occupancy is £65.00 Room 1 can accommodate 1 additional person on a sofa bed; the total charge for this would be £105 per night. All prices are inclusive of breakfast. 10 % Discount for stays of 4 nights or more.

Terms & Conditions

20% Deposit is required at time of booking. This is non refundable, but may be carried over to an alternative reservation if required. Deposits may be paid by cheque, BACS or PayPal. We do not have credit or debit card facilities.
Payment in full is required on arrival unless otherwise agreed.
Payment will be in cash, or settled by cheque, BACS or PayPal prior to arrival.
Please note the %10 discount does not apply to TT or MGP weeks.
Your room will be available from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and we would ask you to check out by 11.00am on the day you depart.You may, by arrangement, leave luggage at the house.
I would respectfully remind guests, our guest rooms are on the first floor, so bear this in mind if you have mobility problems.
